The
ranges are open to membership use with changes
-Members may have accompanied them no more than two non-family guest on
any range at any time.
-Members
must monitor their guess for safety practices at all times when on
chapter property.
-Members are not to be actively shooting while their guess is shooting.
-Members
and guests are to sign in on the range log upon arrival on the ranges
and before set up and shooting any fire arm.
*Any future safety incident will result with implementation of requiring
the monitoring of all ranges use by a Mt. Airy Chapter IWLA NRA
Certified Range Safety Officer.*

The Mt. Airy Chapter of the IWLA is a
wildlife conservation and shooting club, with a 10 position trap range, an 18 position
archery range (in the woods), a 100 yard rimfire range, a 25, 50, 100, 200, and 300 yard big
bore range, and a 25 yard pistol range. The rimfire, big bore, and pistol ranges all have covered
pavilion firing positions. Hunting is permitted on the club property (over 150 acres) during
hunting season, when all ranges are closed.
